Ep. 29: Aromatherapy for reconnection and love with Kayla Fioravanti

SHOW NOTES

What You’ll Learn

Kayla Fioravanti has been a leading expert in the natural cosmetics industry for over 24 years. In 1998, she co-founded Essential Wholesale – one of the first all-natural cosmetics/ingredients companies – that started out with $50 in her kitchen and grew to a multimillion-dollar company (all the while raising her 3 kids)! As Ology's Chief Formulator, Kayla is able to bring to life her unique ideas and product formulations. Kayla is also an aromatherapist, business consultant, and an award-winning author.

In this episode, Nikki and Kayla go over

  • How Kayla got into aromatherapy by supporting her son with ringworm

  • Some essential oils that we can use to reconnect with ourselves

  • Essential oils that are known as aphrodisiacs

  • The benefits of using them topically can help reconnect with a partner. Massaging each other, reconnecting on all levels - mind, body, and soul.

  • Top carrier oils to use

  • Be aware that certain carrier oils could break down the efficacy of condoms

  • Avoid directly applying essential oils to genitals

  • Baths are another great way to reconnect with self and partner

Kayla shares a study by Dr. Hirsh from the Smell and Taste institute on what scents are aphrodisiacs for males and females.

Some of the products shared from Ology Essentials include an Intimate oil blend, Massage oils, and a blend called She to help connect with mind, body, and soul.

It comes down to individual preference. Remember to follow your nose and heart
