In this episode, Nikki interviews Bonita Barth, who’s been working in the field of natural skincare, organic perfumery, and plant medicine for over 30 years.

When starting, be mindful of the scents and aromas around you
Play with the scents, the art of it is to have fun
Diluting precious oils in alcohol
Diluting in carrier oils
Perfume in liquid vs. wax
Remember to put the date made and expiry date as no one wants rancid oils for perfume
Blending by Notes - Top, Heart/Middle, Base notes and how quickly they each evaporate
Diluting for perfumery is different than clinical aromatherapy
Diluting at the upper limit of 10% for perfume, and 5% for cologne, sprays, floral waters
Remember to keep allergies in mind, skin tests are important
